  We came by the thousands; we continue to come. From the 1930s until the middle 1980s, ARAMCO's employment rolls climbed from a few hardy explorers to 77,000 people worldwide. The author was plucked from his sixth grade class to fly halfway around the world with his mother and sister. It was February 1949. (rac)
